ZOOM HD16 well everything it`s OK when you are recording to that machine,I try to understand the manual as far as control surface mode goes, and it works as it supposed to,problem was that I was expecting it to work as a audio interface ! But I`ve been told is not, so that solve my question it does work fine and it does superb recordings.

It took us a while to figure out how this recorder fit into our band’s creative process. The manual isn’t very clear but once you get into “zoom speak” and understand what the manual means, the recorder opens into a tool that much more than any of us expected. The quality is great, the interface is pretty easy to navigate, and the effects (which we don’t use much since they don;t fit with our sound) sound pretty amazing.
I give it 5 stars. It’s not cheap, but well worth it if you’re recording drums or producing a full band. I have not used the device as a DAW controller, but I’m looking forward to exploring that ability soon.
If you can afford it and need it, buy it. You won’t be disappointed.
